Tanker gets stuck on slope, so does tow

Dorothy Beckbissinger was looking through a family photo album in the den of her Middle Valley Road home Tuesday afternoon when she saw the runaway tanker truck rolling through her backyard toward a steep slope.

The noise, when the truck went over the edge, was like a freight train going through the forest.

"It was pretty amazing," said Beckbissinger, who is 57. "I heard screaming and looked up and saw the oil tank careening down the driveway backwards. It was running out of control."
