What did you ask Santa for Christmas?
What are you hoping to find under the tree and are you worried you weren't nice this year? ;)
I would love a new iPod but after my last one not sure I can trust them. Mine went south right after the warranty.
Painful. The new nano's are relativity cheap and much more reliable then older generations.
My iBook hard drive failed about a month after the warranty expired. They wanted $400 to fix it. I was able to grab one for $50 and replace it myself.
If you look closely at the attached picture, I created a chart on the white piece of paper to diagram the screw positions. There were about 30 of them I needed to remove to replace the hard drive.
The price you pay when design is more important then functionality.
Calico is a happy newlywed. Life is nice when you are in love.
I dont think Santa can put him under my tree with just a bow around him. And I think that would freak my kids out.
So Chris in general would you say the i products are worth buying. They are great really but when they fail baby and they do seem to about a year later you are SOL.
I have a 3G iPhone, but I never owned an iPod. In general, you usually want to wait a few months before you purchase an Apple product. It seems the first ones out the door always have issues.
As far as computers go, you definitely pay a premium for a Apple, but the service is really good, until the warranty expires.
I'm not an Apple fan boy, but they make a lot of good decisions. The iPod and iPhone changed the game. Rumor has it that they are entering a new market next year.
Your God, Steve Jobs, may be announcing something in February. It's going to be personal electronics, so iCamera? iVideoCamera? What else is left?
i think it will be a new iphone with video and side typing keypad
i love my 3g, but wish side type was always and not a separate app and that it had video, oh and a flash!
as for my christmas wish...a new computer chair, mine is so old and the arm is falling off from hitting the desk, but it is one of those i will never actually buy as long as i can still sit, all be it uncomfortable, in it!
Chris, that month's supply photo you posted would probably only last about 2 weeks ;-)
We have all the Rolling Rock we need. If the economy gets too bad, we will just go without out food to buy beer. Or better yet, we'll just work for beer.
I know what I want for Christmas.... a new PANCREAS!!!
But, I don't want it under the tree... yuck!
On a more realistic note, I'd like another kitty, but my husband would probably choke me if there was one under the tree on Christmas morning!! LOL!!!
You think Apple would be entering the video game console market?
It's pretty late in the game and market share is thin, so I really doubt it... but that is the first thing that popped into my head and most lucrative market I can think of that they are not already involved in.
Does anyone know where Santa can get a cheap Wii, if at all?
Um, this is for an elf, so he can't exactly ask the elf to just make another. He has to go get one somewhere.....
By cheap do you mean retail? I was seeing 1 or 2 everywhere I went, but I'm guessing those may be selling out now.
Amazon lets you sign-up and they will send you a text message when they get them in.

my brother found one online last night for 289, but it had a bunch of games, extra controller among other extras...
we just happened across ours in october and paid retail but it was before they jacked it up for the holiday buyers!
How come HL doesn't have this thread? If I post my list here will they be directed to Santa or is this some kind of trick? Okay, I'll try:
-Shiva paintstiks
-A big roll of Thermofax screens
-Dye
-Fiber
-Whaley
-Time
Apple may be announcing a Netbook next month. Most obvious direction for them to go.

well they already surprised us with this being their last year at macworld!
and i heard jobs is not speaking at this year even?
I asked Santa for a large external hard drive so I can backup my digital music and video collection.
RE: The next big thing from Mac
The iPhone Nano is one thing that keeps coming up in the rumor mill, but that isn't really a "new market". The other rumor I've heard is that they're adding PVR (you know, TIVO-like-functionality, ... recording shows without video tapes) to the appleTV. This would qualify as a new market.
oh, THAT would be nice....
i keep debating on the purchase of the "netflix" box, but it cannot record.
then i debated just getting the x box 360 for an extra 100 bucks over the netflix box price.
now i will wait until apple makes the announcement and go from there!
