Hello from the Hackettstownlife forum!Happy holidays!
I'm new in H-town, but I come over the hill evry now and then to enjoy a draft from Long Valley Brewery & Pub. So hello to all yous over yonder hill. Hi LVLife! Mrs.LV, That'ts really not very inviting. It seems as though people from Hackettstown are more outgoing and interested in welcoming new relationships with eachother and those around them. Do you speek for ALL of Long Valley when you shun outsiders from your "Steppford" town or are there any personable inhabitants of LV who would be willing to exercise some degree of humanity and associate with the rest of the planet (or at least their next door neighbors)? Funny Mrs.LV, I have read several comments on the Hackettstown forum from Long Valley residents that were never tossed asside or rebutted because the authors were not Hackettstown residents. Your comment really disturbs me and probably others as well. If it doesn't offernd you too much that I am a Hackettstown resident from the "other side of the tracks", I would like to wish you and your family members (whom I hope are more social)a warm, safe and happy holiday season! Now I know why those LV people are over on the Hackettstown forum...we're friendly. I grew up in Hackettstown, and live in Long Valley, so I think I would like to read both forums. We share a common border, and are neighbors....so let's be neighborly, shall we? This forum needs livening up!!!!!!!!!! Maybe a HH is in order........Brew Pub anyone???? Excellent snapper, I hear that all that nastiness can turn your skin green. Mrs.LV: Would you like to take back your nasty post? You may not believe it from what you've been reading, but we really are a wonderful, loving and supportive group of people! (With a dark side, to be sure, but that's what makes us so much fun!) Mrs.LV, please excuse some of the emotional responses from the regulars over at Hackettstown Life. They can be a rowdy, emotional bunch but most times this is the way they post for "fun". While good intentioned, they can get rather childish and unsettling, if not outright mean, at times. Not everyone from HL, or from Hackettstown for that matter, acts this way. The original post better represents Hackettstown than do the responses to your post. That was nice justintime. I would have to agree over at Hackettstown Life we are like one big dysfunctioning family. Please feel free to add your craziness here and there. How about a combo Happy Hour some night? Hackettstown meets Long Valley. Like Calico said meet ya half way... Firefly, it's easy to forget that these forums are out there for ~everyone~ to see. What gets posted here stays here for as long as the forum archives are active. Any "disfunctional" comments, out of context, will only lead to misunderstandings. OK, another button has been pushed. If I want to apologize for my words on this forum I will do so. I don't need or want someone (JIT) doing it for me. I believe we can all speak for ourselves. Mrs LV was rude and that's fine. She speaks for herself. "Rowdy, childish, emotional, unsettling and mean"? This topic has not been commented on in more than 6 months.
