Horse Massage?

Horse Massage?I saw this truck going through Long Valley yesterday. Can anyone explain what's the purpose behind a horse massage?

Equine sports massage therapy, like human massage therapy is the therapeutic application of hands-on massage techniques for the purpose of increasing circulation, relaxing muscle spasms, relieving tension, enhancing muscle tone, and increasing range of motion in high performance horses.

there was a lady at Sussex County Fair one year who had a booth to promote her Equine Massage business. I grew up around horses and have never heard of such a thing till then. Sounded intersting to say the least.

They also sell spas for horses that help with injuries etc.

we used to have a woman come in and not only do massage on our horses and ourselves, but also perform acupuncture...

we had some horses really respond well to one or both as did we!
