New gym coming?

I heard a new gym is opening in the Long Valley Village? Does anyone else have any additional info. Hopefully if there is a gym coming it will be reasonable & well equipped.

Yes. It is a new gym that will be opening in the fall. Zack Gibbon is the owner and is a former resident of the township.

Check out peakconditionfitness.com. Already in long valley...no membership..work one on one with a personal trainer

I went in there yesterday..Looks really nice. I talked to the owner for a little while. Information he gave me was. Membership is $49.00 per month if you join for the year or $69.00 month to month. Spin classes will be offered. Plus $100.00 membership fee for the year. He also told me he hopes to open by November 18th. He will offer some sports conditioning classes for kids. Hope it works out for him!!!!

Wow...seems kind of pricey. Golds Gym in Hackettstown is 46.00 a month if you join for the year and they have child care...

But childcare at Gold's is 10 a month per kid so that would make the membership 56 a month. I think childcare should be included in the membership personally...

Point taken, but if you don't have kids or can leave them with someone it is cheaper...I really hope it works out for this guy. It is hard to start up a business in Long Valley and stay for a while.

Its nice to have something on this side of the mountain. Instead of going over it to Gold's or other gyms.

The only classes he'll offer is Spin? So it's just equipment?

I joined Gold's a year ago (the one in Flanders) and never go because it's a 15 minute drive for me. I would welcome something closer.

I like the idea of a true gym in town and the town could definitely use some tenants in that mall. I hope, however, the quote about $69 a month is wrong. That will never fly and is just not competiive. In addition, the industry has moved away from contracts with penalties for early termination.

I currently pay $35 a month at Golds in Flanders and judging by the footprint of that space in valley village, Golds will remain much bigger and better equipped.

I have no particular loyalty to Golds and would like to patronize a lv independent gym as opposed to a national franchise so i hope the pricing is competitive.

New gym is AWESOME and price includes towel service which at Gold's is extra! I wish them well in this new endeavor. Stop by and check it out!

I'm disappointed to see this gym is terribly overpriced. I contacted ZS Fitness to see if they offer reduce rate for students as other gyms do. Not only do they not offer a student pricing, for kids to receive the $49 monthly fee they must commit to a year contract (also a $100 sign up fee). I think this is unrealistic. Most kids that would be using the gym will most likely be heading off to college in August. ZS Fitness only allows clients to freeze their membership once for a three month period. That being said, I'm disappointed to see the lack of interest/willingness to offer a program suitable to the kids of the very community Zach grow up in.

Zach seems to have copied Gold's in many ways. I would not look to old's as a model. I would look to other chains that hopefully will one day move into the area to give Gold's a run. the owner of Gold's is greedy and cheap. He's no example, I'd like to follow. So many chains offer more for less, unfortunately, they haven't come close enough for em to switch. The new gym in Phillipsburg is amazing and cheap, but the extra drive does not make it worth it.
Plus, w/o childcare it's pointless for me to switch until my youngest is in full day.

Try the RiverView gym in Mansfield on Rt. 57! They are currently expanding the facility and the facility is kept very clean. They do offer cildcare services. The spinning instructors are excellet. Membership is month to month with no sign up fee.
