Washington Township: Fireworks Festival: Saturday, August 27th, 2011
August 27, 2011: Washington Township does not stage their fireworks on the 4th. Last year the extravaganza was scheduled just before the holiday. This year the township has moved the event to late August. The Washington Township Community Events Organization or the WTCEO will present the Kevin M. Walsh Fireworks Festival and Long Valley Parade on Saturday, August 27th, 2011 at the Long Valley Middle School. The parade starts at 4:00PM and the fireworks festival goes from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The festival features live music, clowns, food and beer.
Music will be provided by the School of Rock performing at 5:00 and Scott Monetti and the Waffle Band at 7:30. Children can enjoy bounce houses, Fantastic Faces, Sprinkles the Clown and Gonzo. Food will be provided by local restaurants like Valley Restaurant and Long Valley Pizza Deli and Bagels. The Washington Township Fire Department will also be on hand to serve food and beer in the beer garden. Visitors are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets. This is one of the Don’t Miss Events of the year in Long Valley. [Washington Township-Morris County-North Jersey]

I was wondering if there was a rain date for the Fireworks Festival for Aug 27th. It looks like Hurricane Irene is coming this weekend! :(
It's been cancelled, but will be rescheduled.
