MUA condemning property for community well

The MUA wants to condemn about 18 acres ea on 2 farms on Schooley's Mtn build a community well to feed 12 homes on Bartley Rd and other areas. They want a well that will yield 300 gal/minute which is 1/2 million a day.

WHAT WILL THIS DO TO THE WATER SUPPLY/AQUIFER THAT FEEDS WELL-WATER TO NON-MUA TAXPAYERS?

The Observer Trib and Daily Record had articles on 8/19 claiming 40% of water tapped by the MUA currently goes un-accounted for! They are wasting precious water!

IF OUR WELLS GO DRY AS OTHERS ALREADY HAVE, WILL THE TOWN OR MUA PAY THE $10-20,000 TO RE-DRILL OUR WELLS? Let's find out more info.

Come to the meeting on Mon, 8/23 at 7pm at 43 Schooley's MTN municiple bldg to find out what is going on.
