Off-premise Catering Suggestions
I'm looking to have a small get together at my home (~25 people) and want to have it catered. I have our usual go to places, but wanted to see if I can try something new.
Anyone have suggestions on their favorite places that offer off-premise catering?
Don't need need delivery or setup, but may take it if the price is right.
Thanks!
We used Piggys for our son's first B-Day. They Roasted a Pig and made a slew of hot food. Very good.
Fresco de Noche - truly amazing authentic Mexican food... everything fresh. Locations in Flanders and Chester. Speak with Marco or Carlos. Catered my daughter's sweet 16 for 100 people. Good people, fair price, excellent service, and truly awesome food.

If you didn't have your event already and looking for fresh, not out of the box or can catering go to Black River Catering in Pottersville. Call for a menu 908-439-9756 or stop by the general store. The chef/owner went to the Culinary Institute and is very passionate about food and delivering fresh, never frozen and made from scratch. You may pay a little more, but it is worth it! His wait staff and bar tenders are top notch too!!
In the end it depends on what kind of entertaining you are doing and your budget. If you are looking to spend only $10 per person, you are better off going to a Mama's Pizza or other place that will serve lots up "carbs", pasta, rice, breads, pizza, potatoes, etc are all inexpensive. Nothing wrong with those places, but that is why they are less expensive. Black River Catering will serve up Sashimi Tuna, Filet of Beef, Lamb Chops, imported cheeses and meats for antipasti platers, and has many other more 'unique' offerings, these are some of my favorite standby's:)
Hope it all goes well!
We've used Valley Restaurant for many parties in our home and have never been disappointed.
